On Sunday 2/22/15 we did a class called Over Unders.  Over unders are endurance intervals where we vary the intensity from just slightly over threshold power to slightly under threshold power.  The reason we do this is to make it not so boring...despite what anyone tells you.

Here is the playlist on Spotify.
(If you don't see anything here or just want a direct link to Spotify you can clink this link)

Here is a little survey you can use to rate the songs.  Please don't forget to click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the survey when you are done.

If you have any general suggestions for anything I might do differently or better, or any song request please post those in the comments.

Thanks for visiting my blog...I'll see you in class.

On Sunday 2/15/15 we did a playlist I called Out of My Mind.  The title comes from the last song in the playlist.

Here is the playlist for the class:
(here is a direct link to Spotify)

If you liked or didn't like some of the songs you can let me know in this little survey form. If you have any other feedback about the class, please let me know in the comments.

I hope you had fun.  See you next time!

For the Wednesday evening class 2/11 we did a class called Haley Wailey.

The title is named after my wife's dog Haley. Haley is a border collie/lab mix who spends the day looking out the window. We she sees something that warrants her attention, whether it be a squirrel, the mailman or another dog/owner walking by she lets out this long wail. Its actually kind of funny... except when you are on the phone with clients.

Anyway, here is the playlist for Haley Wailey...as before, if you don't see anything here you might try switching brands of browser or clicking here for a direct link to Spotify...

If you want to rate the songs I played, you can do that here... (make sure you click the submit button at the end).

So this is my first post on this blog.  I hope to use this blog as a way to connect with the people who attend my cycling classes at the Minneapolis YWCA in Uptown.  It is important to me that people find the class entertaining as well as challenging.  I am a big believer that music is a huge part of the experience.  On this blog I plan to publish the playlists that I use during class and encourage you, those who attend the classes, to rate the songs and provide other feedback that will help make the class better and better.

OK, enough of that...let's get started.

On Sunday February 8th, 2015 we did a class I called Mind Over Body.
The title pokes a little bit of fun at fitness instructors who emphasize making a "mind-body connection" during fitness classes.  I have never understood this.  It seems to me that if the body had much to say about it none of us would do any of this.  Perhaps I am just being too literal.

Anyway, here is the playlist...
(Note: I have been having a little bit of trouble with this feature.  If you don't see anything below you can try another brand of browser, Firefox seems to work well,  or open the playlist directly in Spotify by clicking this link)

If you have any general feedback about the class, please use the form below to provide that.  Don't forget to hit the "Submit" button when you are done.

...and if you want to rate the songs or provide any other feedback about the class please use the form below to do that.  The "Submit" is at the bottom of the form.  Don't forget to click that even if you don't rate all the songs.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and provide feedback.

See ya in class!
